Pirmin Zurbriggen grew up with his two siblings Esther and Heidi in the parental hotel business in Saas Almagell. Moni Zurbriggen-Julen, born in Zermatt, grew up in the parental restaurant in Findeln above Zermatt with her three siblings Vrony, Heinz and Leni
In 1989 they married and after Pirmin finished his ski career in 1990, Pirmins Palmares (here)Elia a 1990, Pirmin 1992 and Maria 1994 were born. After a 3-year stay in Germany, they returned to Valais in 1994. Together with mother Ida and sister Esther they led the named Hotel Lärchenhof in Saas Almagell.
In December 1998, the young family built the Suitenhotel Zurbriggen in front of the Matterhorn, which they continue to do today with much joy, passion and enjoy every year loyal customers and beloved guests.
Alain, the 4th child was born in 1998 and the 5th child Leonie, was born as a latecomer in 2008, the light of day.
The families Zurbriggen in Saas Almagell as well as the families Julen in Zermatt all remained faithful to the gastronomy and lead today with much success and passion their own enterprises:
